Oh what a difference a year can make! Praise God from whom all blessings flow! This was such a sweet post. :) Bring your little guy in to see us sometime!
God is so good, isn't he? I have some mail and coupons to send your way :-) It is so crazy to think just a year ago we were talking about how we never thought we'd be moms...at the time I was so down. And now I'm so blessed and happy. I'm so glad you are the same!
I love this post! I wanted to do my pregnancy post back in February, and time got away from me. I didn't feel right about posting my yearly update on a day different than when I found out. Oh, well. Maybe next year, right?
Anyway, I'm only feeding him rice cereal once a day, and it's around 7:00, right before I put him to bed. I still nurse him at 6:00, so this kinda tops him off. I put about 3-4 spoonfuls of the rice (flakes) with his baby spoon, and then just squeeze warm breastmilk from a bottle until it's clumpy. Some people make theirs really liquidy, but it's easier to feed him when it's thicker, like oatmeal. He absolutely LOVES it, and it really fills him up. You should definitely try it. It's not so bad! :)
Oh, I want to add that I put this in a bowl and feed it to him with a spoon. I don't put it in a bottle for him to drink. Just thought I should clarify!
seriously I totally thought you were announcing you were pregnant again - you sorta freaked me out there for a second. But oh so precious of a story - miracle child!!
Thank you so much for comitting to pray for us while you're feeding Grant at 7am. I know these prayers will please God! You're an awesome inspiration in your story and Grant is so beautiful.
Hey Becca! In response to your question about how I got the "meat" out of the avocado, I just cut it out in little pieces. Once I had a bunch in the ramekin, I mashed it all with a fork until it became creamy. If your avocado is too ripe, it won't work. It needs to feel a little squishy. Does that make sense? Easton wasn't too crazy about the taste, but he ate a bunch of it! :)
